About the Navy League Cadet Program!

The Navy League of Canada - Kamloops Branch is a not-for-profit organization in Kamloops that supports the Navy League Cadets, a cadet program for youth aged 9-13.

The purpose of the organization is to provide local children with a program which helps develop patriotism, good citizenship, a sense of duty, self-discipline and respect for others.

Each corps meets once a week during the school year presently on Tuesday evenings at 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.  During these weekly meetings, cadets learn and practice drill techniques, uniform care, leadership, seamanship, naval terminology, physical fitness and generally what it means to be a sailor.  There are opportunities to participate in other activities offered throughout the week or at the weekend.
